Photo: Tracy and Irene Killam Christmas card sent to family and friends.

Every other month or so I change the photos at the town hall and the current photos depict past snow storms in town, car races on icy Sandy Pond, and a horse drawn plow used to clear the sidewalks in the village. Tracy Killam, a local photographer, created fun Christmas Cards for family and friends and some are on display. I have an older view of the United Methodist Church and pictures of the many church children. They are not dated but could be in the 1940’s.

The Girl Scout Christmas Tree event, a community service project which began in 2003 is in its 10th year. The artificial trees have been decorated and are on display at the Soup Kitchen on Salisbury Street. The community is invited to stop by and vote for your “favorite tree”. These children are having fun while working for the neediest of our community. Each tree will be given to a needy family or elderly person in time for Christmas Day. This year’s theme is “Christmas around the World” and all trees will be decorated accordingly. Contact Rae Allen for more information 387-3666 and to suggest a person or family in need.
